Monster Hunter Wilds – final boss leaks – what we know about Zoh Shia so far

As you may be able to guess from the title of this page, it contains some pretty serious spoilers ahead of this week’s arrival of Monster Hunter Wilds, so with that said, if you want to save the really good stuff for yourself, you should probably avert your eyes from what is below.

If you, on the other hand, want to find out more about Monster Hunter Wilds’ final boss, which has leaked in the last few hours, then read on.

What is Monster Hunter Wilds’ final boss?

Snaking across the internet and Reddit in particular is news that Monster Hunter Wilds’ final boss will be Zoh Shia. There are some frankly terrible screenshots knocking about that do not reach any kind of quality threshold we would ever use here at Readwrite, but if you check out the Reddit thread you will find them there.

Zoh Shia seems to be avian/bird-like and looks as though it breathes fire, It is quite dragon-like in appearance, especially in later phases.

One of the things about Monster Hunter Wilds’ final boss that is annoying the players, even ahead of launch (and please do bear in mind this all stems from an unconfirmed leak) is that Zoh Shia has no equipment and, more importantly, it cannot be fought outside of an SOS – or that certainly seems to be the case. So you cannot just replay the hunt time and time again at your own pace.

According to the leak it also seems to mind-control Guardian Seikrets, but how that works is unclear at this point.

What is Monster Hunter Wilds’ final area?

The same leak purports that the final area of the game is called Wounded Hollow and the area where our battle against Zoh Shia will take place is called The Torch and it will be inaccessible outside of the boss fight.
