Epic Games hints at more future upgrades to Fortnite Crew subscription

With the release of Chapter 6 of Fortnite at the end of 2024, Epic Games hugely upgraded the Fortnite Crew subscription and also unexpectedly kept the price the same. Now, it seems that Epic Games is hinting at even more changes to the Fortnite Crew subscription, here’s what we know:

The Fortnite Crew pass is a monthly subscription that is advertised by Epic Games as “the best way to maximise your Fortnite experience“. For $11.99/£9.99 a month, subscribers get the following:

  • All Seasonal Battle Passes
  • 1,000 V-Bucks
  • Latest Lego Pass
  • Latest Music Pass
  • Fornite Crew cosmetics
  • Rocket Pass Premium for Rocket League

New Changes to Fortnite Crew Subscription

According to a recent survey sent out to players, Epic Games are considering adding even more benefits. The survey asked the community what they’d most like to see in the subscription service, and whilst most of them are relating to cosmetics, some of the benefits sound pretty intriguing:

  • Giftable subscriptions
  • Discounted multi-month purchase options
  • Bulk membership purchase options for multiple accounts
  • More cosmetics with each month of your subscription
  • More V-Bucks each month
  • Increased number of Creative Islands
  • Battle Pass levels each month
  • Crew-exclusive quests
  • More V-Bucks with each month of your subscription

It seems that Epic Games are trying to get people to actually keep their subscription rolling, with incentives like more V-Bucks and more cosmetics based on how long you’ve had the subscription for. Discounted multi-month purchasing options and bulk purchasing also hint that Epic Games are focusing on getting subscribers to retain their Fortnite Crew subscription.

Whilst the survey didn’t mention any price increases, it would be unsurprising if there was some sort of price hike to the subscription pass, especially considering the idea of discounted multi-month purchases. It’s possible that they might also toy with the idea of subscription tiers, with higher tiers offering more benefits (namely, cosmetics probably). For now, we can only wait with baited breath to see the outcome of the player survey and what it means to the future of the Fortnite Crew pass.
