How to get the Xurfboard Skimmer in Destiny 2

Even though Destiny 2 has entered its tenth year, there is even more content being added to the game.

Alongside new missions and activities, there is obviously more loot to be had, and some specific items are ones you’re going to be chasing after.

The Xurfboard is one of these, and if you’re unaware as to what this is, you’re in for a real treat.

Below, we’ll run you through how to get the Xurfboard in Destiny 2, so you can add another Skimmer to your collection.

Destiny 2 Xurfboard: How to get

The Destiny 2 Xurfboard will be available during the new Revenant Episode which explores Fikrul, the Fanatic once more among oter darker themes.

To be more specific about Skimmer’s launch, you’ll be able to grab the Xurfboard in week 2 of Revenant, as officially confirmed by Bungie in a recent post from its X account.

When it does drop, it will be part of Xur’s inventory, as you would expect from the name of the Skimmer, and you can purchase it for 97 Strange Coins.

This makes it a pretty pricey affair considering the maximum number of Strange Coins you can have at any one time is 99, but considering the uniqueness, most will be picking it up.

Also stated in the post is that it will “continue to be part” of Xur’s inventory moving forward so don’t stress too much if you’re unable to get onto the game on the weekend the Xurfboard is initially available.

As you would expect, it’s very ‘Nine’ branded, with symbols and colors of the mysterious group being incorporated throughout the design.

This Xurfboard is only the second earnable Skimmer in the game with the first only being available during the Guardian Games.

So, not only does it look the part, it’s one of those ‘collector’s items’ you don’t want to miss out on.

Who knows, if SRL does ever come back, the Xurfboard might be the meta and if you grab it when it’s available, you’ll actually be able to compete on the track!
