Samsung Developers Conference 2014 date announced, 11 – 13 November #SDC14

Samsung have announced the date for their Samsung developers conference, which is going to be held on 11 – 13 November 2014, at Moscone West, San Francisco, CA.
This is the second year that Samsung are running this event for developers, in the hope of educating them in the required tools they need in order to take advantage of Samsung features like Samsung Chord, Samsung Allshare framework, S Pen SDK, Samsung Gear, and other services.

Last year there was only one Tizen session, entitled “The Tizen Web Platform“, but this year things will look quite different. Tizen is now available as the OS powering the Samsung Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo Smartwatches, as well as Tizen TV. There will also be lots of Android sessions on offer at the conference, but we are told we won’t be disappointed when it comes to Tizen. The Samsung Gear Smartwatches and Tizen TV will have a lot of focus.

Samsung’s commitment to Tizen gained more credibility as the original Samsung Galaxy Gear 1, which originally launched with Android, got the option to load Tizen for US Galaxy Gear owners. There is no news about a Tizen Samsung Z Smartphone release, but we live on hope.

More information is promised soon, but in the meanwhile, head on over to the Samsung Developers Conference page, and signup to be notified of more developments.
