The Gear VR ecosystem is a big thing nowadays but the platform has not become Samsung’s major success. But out of all of the VRs that have been released so far, the Gear VR is the king of the jungle (possibly for some). But there’s been something missing this entire time, an official YouTube VR app specially for all those VR users that have been deprived of it. But, thanks to Google’s announcement, we should all be expecting it soon.
You may already know that YouTube VR is already available for the Google’s Daydream VR platform. Both the Daydream and Gear VR devices are compatible with the Android OS, so it does seem a little weird that Daydream has the Youtube VR App but the Gear VR doesn’t – Do you think they’re biased? So far, Gear VR users have had to go onto the VR browser to get to YouTube, which isn’t exactly ideal for the end user experience.
In addition to this, Google is also adding a new feature where YouTube VR users can chat and watch videos together. In my opinion, it sounds amazing. How we found that out? A blog post from Google has stated that the app will be available in the Oculus Store this week.
Hope you are hyped for this new feature just like I am! If you want to see anything else on this site, contact us at [email protected].
