Back in February 2017, Verizon surprised everyone when it announced its own exclusive ‘Wear24’ smartwatch through a blog post. It was the day LG announced the LG Watch Style and Sport, and Verizon’s blog was supposed to be discussing how it will offer the LG watches. But to everyone’s surprise, the company also announced its own smartwatch Wear24, which would go on sale three months later for $349.99. However, only after four months, Verizon permanently discontinued the watch, owing to an hefty amount of negative reviews. Not surprisingly, stock still lasts, desperately wanting clear-out. In the process, the watch has seen several price cuts, and the latest price is too good to resist. An eBay seller, tekreplay, is now offering the Verizon Wear24 for an incredibly low price of $49.99.
Verizon Wear24
The Verizon Wear24 smartwatch features a 1.39″ 480p circular OLED screen. It is powered by the same Snapdragon 2100 chip that every Android Wear (now Wear OS) smartwatches used to run on back then. With Verizon Wear24, you can make and receive phone calls directly from the watch if you’re using it as a standalone Verizon phone line. No smartphone connection is needed. Other basic smartwatch functions, such as notifications, Google Play access are functional from any connected iPhone or Android smartphone.
The watch debuted in three colour options, Gold, Black and Silver. However, only Gold colour variants are available now, and are selling like hot-cakes at the moment. The seller is also offering a 60-day warranty, free shipping, and free returns within 30 days.
