The Galaxy Watch 4 Classic has just been given the best leak YET! Not about how it looks, but rather its hardware inside. Every component inside was leaked, leaving very little unknown.
A better circular display and the first Galaxy Watch with 16GB storage is expected from the device. The watch will have the new Exynos W920 chip and 1.5GB of RAM. The battery 361mAh. It is said to be able to get a full charge in 1 hour and 41 minutes. The Galaxy Watch 4 Classic has a screen resolution of 450 by 450 pixels. That is a 90 x 90 increase on its predecessors. The panel is protected by Gorilla Glass DX.
The watch has an IP68 rating and has a MIL-STD 810G-certified that’s 5ATM waterproof. You can 5 ATM means that a watch can withstand a pressure of 5 bar or a water column of 50 meters. The Galaxy Watch 4 Classic has Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-Fi dual-band 2.4GHz and 5GHz and NFC connectivity. Location tracking can be done using GPS, Glonass, Beidou and Galileo.
It will be compatible with any Galaxy phone that’s newer than the Galaxy S6. It will be able to perform an SMS call, E-Mail, Always-on display and many more as found on the spec sheet found at the bottom of the page.
Health sensors and a new OS
The Galaxy Watch 4 Classic will run Wear OS and not Tizen, the previous OS on multiple Samsung Galaxy Smartwatches. It will also have 3 health sensors – PPG, ECG, and a BIA sensor. They function as a heart rate sensor, a blood pressure sensor, and a body fat sensor. It will be running with a One UI Watch 3.5 overlay on top and will connect to Samsung smartwatches through the Galaxy Wearable app as standard.
The watch will come in two colours. Black and Silver, and by default will have a Ridge Sport silicon strap.
