A new company is stepping into the mobile analytics space. Claritics, known for its analytics tools for Facebook and other social platforms has released its “social intelligence suit” for Android developers that will help app makers analyze user data from device type, carrier, location and more.
Claritics is getting into a space is has rapidly become very crowded. Flurry, Localytics, Apsalar, Kontagent and Webtrends are several startups and companies that provide mobile analytics ranging from the app level through carrier billing. Claritics thinks it can separate itself from the pack because it comes from the world of “big data” and has the experience to offer more advanced analytics than the other providers.
It will be interesting to see which of these mobile analytics companies become the dominant brand that developer rely on. It is probably still early in the game to determine which company has the upper hand as developer support for the various analytics companies is as spread out as the venture funding the companies have received.
Claritics came out of private beta in May with $1.5 million in Series A funding from Cervin Ventures and TiE Angels. Its social intelligence suit is a set of software-as-a-service analytics apps that are supposed to give developers real-time access to social behavioral data. The mobile product for Android developers is one step further.
From its press release, here are Claritics mobile analytics features:
- Easy Onboarding – Improved self-serve sign-up and instrumentation process reduces amount of development work required to get up and running by about 80%
- Dynamic Cohort Analysis – Track users by cohorts and analyze behaviors over a chosen period of time; define cohort groups dynamically using a number of characteristics and behaviors
- Custom Funnel Analysis – Define custom conversion funnels and conduct in-depth funnel analysis to better understand engagement and monetization conversions
- Granular User Segmentation – Segment users based on any variation of behaviors and demographics to optimize the user experience and deliver more targeted products and offerings.
Claritics mobile analytics is available as a software developer kit at the companies website. If you give it a test run, please let us know in the comments how you find it in comparison to other services in the space. Was it easier to use, comprehend? Is its data better or worse than other mobile analytics offerings?
