Signal is one of the most secure messaging apps you can get, as it’s based on WhatsApp, it now allows you to speed up and slow down voice recordings in the beta version.
After WhatsApp announcing its terms and conditions, many have switched to the messaging app signal. Those who have we advise you to switch to the beta of Signal. Here’s why.
Signal has had a recorded message option for ages, but it’s pretty basic in terms of this generation. In the beta, you can change speeds between 0.5x, 1x and 2x.. On Whatsapp however it only lets you speed it up, so this new feature is pretty handy. However, this is so far only in the beta version as said before. It is advised to stay on the stable version, but here’s how to switch to the beta.
How to switch to the beta
- Open the Play Store
- Search “Signal”
- Select the Signal messaging app
- Scroll down until you see “Join the beta”
- Click “Join Beta”
- Close then open the Play Store
- Head back to Signal’s page
- Select “Update” at the top
- You’re done!
The beta will come out as a stable version in time. We just have to wait.
