SCCG Management and Belize Marriott announce a new partnership

The advisory firm SCCG Management announced on Thursday (March 27) a new partnership with Belize Marriott.

The duo have come together to focus on “conducting a comprehensive market study to assess potential opportunities in the sports betting and gaming sectors.”

The news was shared through a company press release, but not all the details have been published as the specifics of the engagement will remain confidential.

Stephen Crystal, founder and CEO of SCCG Management, commented: “We’re thrilled to collaborate once again with the Marriott brand as we explore new frontiers in gaming and hospitality.

“Our goal is always to bring informed, strategic insights that empower our partners to make forward-thinking decisions.

“With my background in brick-and-mortar gaming, including owning and operating six casinos in Downtown Las Vegas, I understand firsthand how the right gaming strategy can enhance a hospitality destination. Belize is a unique market with significant potential, and we’re excited to help chart the course.”

SCCG Management aims to help client partners drive strategic growth and maximize revenue and they currently do so for over 120 brands.

As for the Belize Marriott, this is based on Belize’s largest island and is part of the Marriott International chain. Previously, SCCG has worked with Marriott Puerto Rico.

What is the gambling industry like in Belize?

After the market was regulated in 1995, all operators in this Central American country are under the oversight of the Gaming Control Board.

It was later, in 2004, when additional laws were brought in with gambling being fully legalized in Belize from then on.

There are a number of gambling venues in the country, but it’s not yet known the impact this has as the statistics are few and far between. The area has well-structured regulations around gaming and gambling, with a number of licenses able to be acquired if an application is successful. This includes the Online Gaming License, Gaming Machine License, and the Bookmaker’s License.
