The guys over at FoneArena have put the Tizen based Samsung Z1 SM-Z130H/DS through its paces to check out the battery life, with the results posted below. The Z1 packs a 1,500mAh Lithium ion battery, which is the standard size for a Smartphone with a 4-inch WVGA display. The Tizen Z1 also has an ultra power saving mode that allows you to extend the battery life, but this obviously wasn’t used in these tests.
Talk Time
Lasted 9 hours and 5 minutes for the which i’m happy to see is better than the Android One smartphones.
3G Browsing
Lasted for 5 hours and 15 minutes in 3G browsing test, which is on-pair with other mid-range smartphones, but we hope the browsing experience was hopefully better due to the browser adhering to W3C Standards.
WiFi Browsing
Lasted for 7 hours and 8 minutes in WiFi browsing test, which earned it second spot.
Video Playback
Last for 6 hours and 40 minutes in the video playback test.
FoneArena rate this as a One Charge Rating of 6 hours and 55 minutes and conclude that the Z1 has a decent battery life for a smartphone with a 1500mAh battery that is in this price range. As a fairly new Operating System, Tizen has the potential to improve on these figures.
