Samsung have plans to release a Tizen smartphone in October within five countries which include Japan , Russia , France , United States and China. Selected telecom operators are to roll out the Tizen device , each of whom are Tizen Association members.
The selected operators include NTT DoCoMo of Japan , Orange and France Telecom of France and Sprint of USA. Samsung have speculated to have analyzed each market rigorously before making a decision on the intended target region , as regions such as France , China and Russia have previously been a strong market for Bada smartphones by Samsung this specific targeting allows for a greater growth of the Tizen community.
Huawei of China could be responsible for the manufacture of Tizen devices for the Chinese market , whilst the Japanese market has the full backing of NTT DoCoMo which is the largest telecom operator in Japan. Both mobile operators Orange and NTT DoCoMo announced that they will release a high-end smartphone sometime in 2013 , an announcement at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2013 which was held late February.
Samsung are to hold a Samsung Developers Conference in San Francisco , this event will cover all major platforms and products from Samsung. Is this when Samsung will release a Tizen smartphone? Only time will tell.
