Samsung Pay was launched in India in March this year but there is no questioning the fact that the fast payment platform is rapidly expanding in the country. Yet another expansion has been recorded as Alliances Galore has announced that is has created a string of offers from some of the leading names in the dining sector when paying with Samsung Pay. The leading aggregator for ‘merchant offers’ announced this, equally disclosing that the offers involve rewards for customers using Samsung’s payments platform to pay for their meals.

According to Sanjay Razdan, Director-Product Planning, Samsung Electronics India, the partnership will enable users of Samsung Pay to get access to the value-driven rewards program. He also stated that Samsung Pay was designed to be the smartest and most convenient method of making digital payments almost everywhere. A partnership with Alliance Galore will not only make payment seamless and efficient, it also makes it rewarding at the same time.
Samsung Pay is presently supported by several banks as well as UPI, and Paytm. Samsung Pay supports both NFC and MST (Magnetic Secure Transmission) that allows a user to send a magnetic signal from smartphone to the payment terminal’s card reader. For now, the service is only available on the Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8+, Galaxy S7 Edge, Galaxy S7, Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6 Edge+, Galaxy A5 (2016), Galaxy A7 (2016), Galaxy A5 (2017), Galaxy A7 (2017), Galaxy A9 Pro, and the newly launched Galaxy J7 Pro. It is also supported in different markets on the Tizen-powered Samsung Gear S2 and Gear S3 smartwatches.
