Samsung has been gradually bringing it’s Samsung Pay service to newer markets. The company seems to be committed to expanding Samsung Pay operations to more countries even in 2017 as Samsung recently introduced the Samsung Pay service In the UAE (United Arab Emirates). Mashreq Bank happens to be the first partner for Samsung in the UAE to support Samsung Pay and hence the Bank has put out an early access opportunity to it’s customers to try out the service.
Credit and Debit card users of Mashreq Bank can now save their card details on a Sansung device (which includes the Gear S2 and Gear S3 as well). Users can then make payments across the country either via NFC or even MST if you have a device which has the feature built in). New customers who apply for a Gold or Platinum Elite credit card will also get a Galaxy S7 edge smartphone.
Mohammad Gharaibeh, Head of B2B, IT and Mobile (IM) Division, Samsung Gulf Electronics was quoted saying-
“We thank Mashreq for its endorsement of our solution as the first Bank in the region to have early access to Samsung Pay as we expand the reach of Samsung Pay globally and realize its full potential for the consumer,”
