Samsung opens new $380M Home Appliance manufacturing plant in the US.

Over the last 18 months, Samsung has invested over $10 billion in the United States to expand its manufacturing base, supply chain, R&D and acquiring other firms under its name. The latest in this series of investment comes from yesterday as Samsung came to an agreement with the State of South Carolina to a open a new Manufacturing Plant in Newberry County. The Plant will be responsible for manufacturing Samsung’s top of the line Home Appliance Products.

Samsung is investing a huge sum of $380 million to open this facility and the company believes that it will create employment for 954 people in the locality by 2020 along with establishing an advanced R&D support. Samsung is refurbishing an existing facility in Newberry County thus reducing the infrastructure along with causing less harm to the environment. The new facility will help in meeting the growing demand for Samsung’s Home Appliances at a much quicker rate in the US as well help the company to anchor its position as the top brand in the country.
Samsung Electronics CEO Mr. B.K. Yoon was quoted stating-
