Samsung is investing a huge sum of $380 million to open this facility and the company believes that it will create employment for 954 people in the locality by 2020 along with establishing an advanced R&D support. Samsung is refurbishing an existing facility in Newberry County thus reducing the infrastructure along with causing less harm to the environment. The new facility will help in meeting the growing demand for Samsung’s Home Appliances at a much quicker rate in the US as well help the company to anchor its position as the top brand in the country.
Samsung Electronics CEO Mr. B.K. Yoon was quoted stating-
