Yesterday, the South Korean manufacturing giant, Samsung, released its new Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) earphones in India. The most interesting aspect of this device is its price. Earphones like this have been launched by some Chinese companies for as much as $55.
However, Samsung’s Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) earphone is to sell for just Rs 3,799 which translates to about $60. Many would have expected this device to be much more expensive but the company has kept a modest price for this earphone. The Global Vice-President, Mobile Business, Samsung India, Asim Warsi said:
“Samsung is synonymous with innovation and our new ‘Level In ANC’ reinforces our position in the mobile entertainment space,”
Samsung’s new Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) earphone comes with ergonomically designed earplugs. It uses a black and grey color combination to give it a matured appearance. It is a dynamic canal-type earphone and has an elegant three-button slim remote cased in a genuine metal finish for the ultimate in stylish design. In terms of its abilities, this device can sieve out external noises because it is built with two external microphones which analyses and creates inverted sound waves to cancel background noise.
This earphone reduces sounds by up to 20 dB as its active noise cancellation (Level In ANC) is up to 90% effective. The hybrid canal ear-tips makes it comfortable to wear while the “talk in mode” feature ensures that the user is aware of background sounds. Furthermore, this earphone creates an avenue for ambient sounds but these sounds do not distort the sound quality. With the Samsung Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) earphone, users have access to a remote control which enables them to take calls, control volume, control sound and other features without reaching out for the smartphone.
