Despite varying consumer interests in general for smartwatches over the years, Samsung has been one of those brands that had a lot of trust in this category. Being such a dominant player in the electronics industry means that, Samsung has the capability to recover from minor failures easily and hence it kept its smartwatch divisions running experimenting with designs, software, hardware and target users. Over the past couple of years, Samsung seems to have found that equilibrium point for its smartwatch business which has resulted in a some really good smartwatches that has also received a lot of positive response from actual consumers. The Gear S2 and the Gear S3 are the smartwatches that has brought back Samsung as one of the leading smartwatch maker currently in the industry.
To build on its success, Samsung recently released a new smartwatch called the Gear Sport at IFA 2017, Berlin along with two more wearables- The Gear Fit2 Pro and the Gear IconX 2018. The Gear Sport looks to strike a balance between a complete smartwatch like the Gear S3 and a Fitness tracker like the Gear Fit2 Pro. The design of the Gear Sport hence has a very sporty appeal to it with colorful straps (interchangeable) and a build that has 5ATM water resistance certification which means you can wear it even while you’re swimming and the smartwatch can also track the activity. It is also the first smartwatch to run on the powerful Tizen 3.0 platform.
Now that the Gear Sport is reaching actual consumers who pre-ordered it in some countries, Samsung is getting into advertising the Gear Sport to grab more consumer attention. The first of such video advertisements has now been released by Samsung Korea which you can watch below-
