Yes, you heard us right, UK Online retailer Unlocked Mobiles has got a limited supply of the Samsung Gear 2 Neo (only black) and the Samsung Gear Fit on sale, both priced at £179.98 including VAT and are reportedly selling fast, actually the Gear 2 Neo is selling faster than the Gear Fit.
There is still no news about the Samsung Gear 2 (the one with the camera), but Unlocked Mobiles have got it listed as coming soon at £249.98 inc with an expected release date of 10th April 2014.
Other major retailers have still got these devices as coming soon and expected in either April or May but without any definite dates.
The Gear Fit joins the likes of Nike FuelBand SE, Fitbit Force and Jawbone Up24 in the fitness market and although it does alot of the same fitness jobs as them, it outshines them when it comes to notification potential.
The Samsung Gear 2 is the first Smartwatch based on Tizen and heralds in Samsung’s Tizen wearable platform. Developers are encouraged to port over their existing Android HTML5 applications over to this new platform.
