Today, Samsung Gear (previously known as Gear Manager), the application used to connect your Smart phone to your Smart watch, has received a little update measuring in at 6MB, but we like all updates, regardless fo their size. The update is Version: 2.2.20.17113061. With the app you can install applications and change settings for your Gear smartwatch.
The change log, which isn’t that comprehensive at times lists support for the Gear Sport and the Gear Fit2 Pro, which were already supported, and a few other changes as outlined below:

Manually update Gear Manager
If you do not get a notification to update your Gear software then you can manually update as below:-
- Launch Samsung Gear App
- Select Settings tab
- Select About Samsung Gear App
- You should able to see the update listed, presuming its available for your country
