Tizen Samsung Gear App Challenge Launches with Round 1

 
The Samsung Gear App Challenge has officially started today, and marks a terrific opportunity for Developers to make their mark on wearable technology, an opportunity to take your share of $1,250,000* in total prize money. There will be two rounds for this app challenge:
 
Samsung-Gear-2-Neo-Tizen
 
Round 1:
Developers are to submit applications created with the Tizen SDK for wearable, and then the top 200 finalists will receive $2,000 in prize money.
Round 2:
If you were successful in Round 1, then you proceed to the next round.You will be given additional time to work on your applications, and then the top 40 winning apps will receive a total of $850,000, in prize money and Samsung marketing support.
There will also be a Grand prize, Second prize, and Popular Choice award winners will be announced at the Samsung Developers Conference mid-November, 2014.
 

Prizes


Round 1: Finalist Prize (200)  $2,000 Each winner will receive a $2,000 cash prize. In addition to the cash prize, winners will also receive marketing and promotion support from Samsung.
Round 2: Grand Prize  $100,000 In addition to the cash prize, winners will also receive marketing and promotion support from Samsung including invitations to Samsungs’ major developer events.
Round 2: Second Prize (9)  $50,000 Each winner will receive a $50,000 cash prize. In addition to the cash prize, winners will also receive marketing and promotion support from Samsung including invitations to Samsungs’ major developer events.
Round 2: Third Prize (30)  $10,000 Each winner will receive a $10,000 cash prize. In addition to the cash prize, winners will also receive marketing and promotion support from Samsung.
Round 2: Popular Choice Prize  Popular Choice prize includes a high-end car with an approximate retail value of US $50,000.
