The Gear S3 is a smartwatch that has been distributed in quite a few markets that include: UK, US, Canada, South Korea, and many European countries. The smartwatch seems to be well received with positive customer feedback, and also the fact that stock levels keep running out from major retailers like Best Buy and from Samsung themselves is a good indicator.
There has not been any release Information for the Indian sub-continent at the moment, well until now. The guys over at Sammobile are hearing that Samsung is planning to launch the Gear S3 on an unspecified date in January 2017.

Two variants of the wearable device are going on-sale, the Gear S3 Classic and the Gear S3 Frontier. We doubt if India will see the LTE variants of the S3, just like the S3, so it will only be the Bluetooth devices that Indian tech lovers will be able to grab.
Without sounding biased I do find the S3 to be an amazing smartwatch. Compared to the S2 the larger display with the Always On Display (AOD) mode is a real advantage. Also, I love the return of the in-built loudspeaker that allows you to make calls and play music – this feature was available in the Gear S but was removed in the S2. This thing has sensors coming out at all angles – Accelerometer, Gyro, Barometer, Heart Rate Monitor (HRM), Ambient light, and GPS/Glonass. Add to the mix Near Field Communication (NFC) and Magnetic Secure Transmission (MST) – this allows you to make contactless mobile payments to new NFC card readers as well as old magnetic readers using MST.
Keep following Team Tizen for further Information on this story. I’m sure one of our Indian tipsters will get back to us soon 😉
