It looks like Samsung will announce their next Exynos 5 Octa core processor next week as tweeted by their twitter account. Speculation is that this will be the more powerful Exynos 5420 processor (compared to the current 5412) featuring a higher clock rate and improvements to processor optimisation and stability.
Current Exynos 5 Octa processors have a 1.6GHz quad-core A15 processor for high-intensity tasks and also a lower-powered 1.2GHz quad-core A7 for less CPU intensive tasks. There is still debates going on if this is a true Octa core processor but as far as I’m concerned if we count the number of cores it adds up to 8, we just have to keep in mind the actual configuration and benefits of it all.
Could this processor be the one found in Future Samsung Tizen devices? At this point there does not seem to be any reason for that not to be the case. Samsung has promised a high end device and high end devices all rely on whats under the hood!
