Samsung Electronics Co. is looking at increasing its sales of home appliances in China by as much as 50 percent this year, the company’s China unit said on Sunday. As part of a new marketing strategy the company would open its first “Samsung Open House” at a Guomei electronics store in Beijing.
“With the aim of opening a total of 300 ‘Samsung Open Houses’ in China this year, Samsung expects to boost sales of home appliances by 30 to 50 percent,” the company said in a statement.
The objective of the new Samsung open house would be to to educate consumers on Samsung’s white label goods, such as Tizen TV’s and Washing machines, through the use of virtual reality.
