We’re only in the early stages of Pokemon TCG Pocket but there’s already a whole host of content to take part in if you’ve burned through your daily packs.
The latest event that has launched is another battling focused affair similar to that of the Lapras ex event, except without the Promo-A cards as rewards.
Here, we’ll take you through how Genetic Apex Emblem Events work in Pokemon TCG Pocket so you can see if they’re worth your time.
How do Genetic Apex Emblem Events work in Pokemon TCG Pocket?
These Emblem events are recurring experience in Pokemon TCG Pocket that offer you the chance to face up against other Trainers around the world.
Taking part in these and winning battles will reward you with Emblems that you can add to your profile to show off to others.
Genetic Apex Emblem Event 1 focuses on a certain number of victories in order to progress through the Emblem ranks whereas future events may implement a consecutive victory system to reach the higher tiers.
For Genetic Apex Emblem Event 1 there are four tiers of Emblem you can work toward, and here is a full list along with required wins:
- 1 win – Genetic Apex Emblem Event 1 Participation Emblem
- 5 wins – Genetic Apex Emblem Event 1 Bronze Emblem

If you like the sound of this event and want to get involved, simply head to the Battle section of the app and go into the Event Match option.
In here, you can select your desired deck and go straight into the battling, pretty simple stuff.
In this screen, you can also see on the left hand side how many wins you have and what your next goal is you’re making your way toward.
While Emblems are the main reward from the event, there are some accompanying missions that will reward you with Hourglasses and Shinedust, so you might as well give the battles a go to get some additional items.
