The elusive Promo-A 008 card in Pokemon TCG Pocket is one that many have been after for some time now, whether it is to make inroads toward completing the Promo subset or just out of curiosity.

Thankfully, we now have concrete info on how to pick this shiny new card up and it could be yours in a few simple taps of your screen.

To celebrate 40 billion cards collected by Pokemon TCG Pocket players, the developers decided to release the Promo-A 08 card for all, completely free of charge.

This Pokedex artwork variant can be claimed simply by opening up the game and heading to the Gifts section.

In here should be the card ready for claiming with a note saying “From the development team”.

It features all of the Kanto starters surrounding the Pokedex itself which will likely take place in any decks you’re using the normal variant.

Sadly, there is a set period for when you can pick up the Pokedex Promo-A card.

You’ll have between January 19, 2025 at 10 PM PST and April 29, 2025 at 9:59 PM PST to secure the card so you do have a bunch of time to simply log in and claim it.

After that point though, it’s likely it will be gone forever, leaving that one spot in your collection that can never be filled, so pick it up as soon as possible so you don’t forget.
