Best Dragonite deck in Pokemon TCG Pocket

In Pokemon TCG Pocket, while most will opt for a deck that utilizes an ex as its ‘hero’ card, there are some excellent standard choices that can really catch your opponent off guard.

Dragonite is certainly one of these — not just because it’s still one of the franchise’s favorite Pokemon — but also due to its raw power.

Here, we’ll take a look at what we think is one of, if not the best Dragonite deck in Pokemon TCG Pocket so you can get to using this pseudo-legendary ‘Mon in battle.

What is the best Dragonite deck in Pokemon TCG Pocket?

While Dragonite is going to be the ace card of this deck, due to it needing a long setup to get it going, you’ll have to throw in some other cards to stall your opponent.

When the game was in its infancy, Trainers would opt for Pokemon such as Weezing to do this but since the Mythical Island pack is out, there are some alternate (and better) options.

The main change here is the inclusion of Druddigon, a Pokemon that not only has a nice amount of HP but also one that’s ability offers pushback when trying to bide yourself some time.

It’s a basic Pokemon that shares similar Energy too, making it a win-win situation when playing it early.

Here is the full best Dragonite deck list for Pokemon TCG Pocket:

  • Dratini x2
  • Dragonair x2
  • Dragonite x2
  • Druddigon x2
  • Jigglypuff x1
  • Snorlax x1
  • Leaf x2
  • Potion x2
  • Poke Ball x2
  • Professor’s Research x2
  • X-Speed x2

As you can see, all the aforementioned cards are in there coupled with Jigglypuff and Snorlax which allow for a diverse set of stalling tactics while you build enough Energy for Dragonite’s Draco Meteor attack.

Leaf and X-Speed can be used in tandem too, making it much easier to swap between those higher retreat cost cards.
