Octoplay breaks into Danish market with Danske Spil partnership

Octoplay has announced further significant expansion after signing a partnership with Danske Spil, the state-owned gaming operator in Denmark.

This latest agreement extends the company’s reach in the Nordic region, following on from the recent deal with Sweden’s Svenska Spel

The Malta-based developer currently holds active licenses in 10 key regulated markets, including the United Kingdom, Sweden, and the Netherlands.

Octoplay’s extensive portfolio of titles will now be made available to Danish players, with the go-live date to be confirmed later, as the state provider becomes the latest well-established platform to onboard Octoplay

The firm’s European reach now includes Dutch platform Jacks.nl, and further UK market access is in place through the Rank Group.

As part of its 2025 commercial strategy, Octoplay aims to establish five new operator integrations per month, securing over 80 partnerships worldwide.

Mutual alignment between the companies

Its increasing European footprint is part of a dual-approach that will also see growth in North America after initial access was secured with provisional licenses in Michigan and New Jersey.

Earlier this month, Octoplay also launched Jackpot Blitz with BetMGM in Ontario.

Ralitsa Georgieva, Octoplay’s director of business development, stated: “Partnering with Danske Spil, Denmark’s most established and trusted gaming brand, represents a significant milestone in our European expansion.”

“This aligns perfectly with our approach of securing direct partnerships with leading operators in each market we enter. With their deep roots and nationwide recognition, Danske Spil provides an exceptional platform to showcase our premium content to Danish players.”

That message of synergy was shared by Simon Hoffmann Riis, senior games & analytics manager at Danske Spil.

He said: “We are delighted to welcome Octoplay as a trusted partner whose premium portfolio has consistently proven itself across European markets.”

“Their data-driven approach to creating quality content aligns perfectly with our commitment to offering Danish players the most engaging and responsible entertainment experience possible.”
