Nimble, the social CRM startup founded by Jon Ferrara (creator of Goldmine, one of the first CRM systems), has made its SaaS available through the Google Apps Marketplace. We previously profiled Nimble as a cloud startup to watch and took a deeper look at the product here.
As we noted earlier today, these sorts of app marketplaces are an increasingly important distribution mechanism for business software. Nimble is narrowly focused on providing SCRM to small businesses, so Google Apps is a natural fit for the service.
Nimble will be competing in the Markeplace with several already popular CRM solutions for SMBs including Insightly, Zoho CRM and Capsule.
