The all-new Apple iPad Pro 2021 edition is soon to be released, however, spending $1,000 over a new iPad? Let’s see what all the fuss is about.
The changes made from the 2020 edition are said to be amazing, the words of Apple themselves. The tablet is said to have a mini-LED display, which gives a huge colour quality boost to the display. The changes made may adopt new display technology as well. There is a chance that the already monster of a tablet may take the M1 chip, thus, making it possibly the best tablet in the market!
iPad Pro Release Date
The new iPad Pro is expected to come out in April 2021, claims a report from Mark Gurman at Bloomberg.
Leaker Jon Prosser has tweeted on Twitter that the event has always due to be in April.
An April date is surprising as Apple most often than not chooses the month March for unveiling their new products. The company has released it’s tablets in March 2016, and the most recent example of this is the previous iPad Pro, which was both launched in April and introduced the LiDAR camera, following by the A12Z Bionic processor.
However, the Bloomberg report was fairly definitive on the April announcement and we are now more than halfway through March without any word from Apple, so it does seem likely that it will be pushed back this year.
The Price
Apple’s pricing is expected to be placed somewhere around $750 for the 11-inch iPad Pro, but the 12.9-inch iPad Pro is also expected to be somewhere around $999. The last two generations of the iPad have stuck to this price, and every rumour suggests that these 2 iPads will follow.
The Rumours And Leaks
The latest report from Mark Gurman claims the Pro tablet will have a Mini-LED display, and the M1 chip, which powers the new Macbook’s. It may even have Thunderbolt connectivity.
However, MacOtaraka reports Apple is leaving most of the design untouched. We may now expect it to look like the old Pro. We expect some tweaks with the bezels being slightly darker, fewer speaker holes and the camera bump may “stick out” less.
The new recent Apple Pencil 3 leak suggests that Apple will switch back to a shiny design, and offer larger, helping more of the users be a better drawer.
Rumours speculate that Apple is considering a new Magic Keyboard as well, and may even feature microphones built in.
The 12.9-inch edition is said to be 0.5 mm thicker, which is most likely hard for the naked eye to see.
The New iPad Pro 2021 Mini-LED Screen
The iPad Pro has been rumoured to sway itself into mini-LED panels since last summer.
This change will move Apple away from LCD displays and could deliver improved contrasted ratios, truer black tones and improved brightness, thanks to the small LEDs, included in its name.
As well as Bloomberg’s report stating that the Pro 2021 will have Mini-LED, we’ve previously had confirmation in a supply chain report, which said a vendor is about to start producing these displays for Apple.
The New iPad Pro 2021 Specs
The big rumours about the new tablet tell us that Apple is focusing on the tablet’s internal components. An example of this is the fact that this may be one of the first iPads with 5G built-in, as the new iPhone 12 has 5G and it wouldn’t make sense for them not to be these components inside the new device.
The Bloombergs report claimed to have Thunderbolt connecters rather then USB-C, if this is true, this will give the tablets a strengthened data syncing plus additional connectivity options.
New iPad M1 Chip
Deep inside a post from case-maker and render-publisher Pigtou, which mostly focuses on renders of the iPad Pro, there’s more chatter of internal upgrades. The post notes the same thing Gurman heard, a possibility we’re starting to hear in whispers: the new iPad Pro may rock a version of the Apple Silicon chip seen in the MacBook Air with M1. The company could also just go with an upgraded version of the A12Z chip in the current iPad Pro, and call it the A13Z.
