Motorola unveiled a slew of new products for every budget.
The new Moto X, at $500, is the company’s top level offering. This price is actually reduced from the original Moto X, which debuted at $580 without a contract. At the same time, the new Moto X is made with higher quality materials like an aluminum frame and premium back cover options made of wood and leather. It also has a larger, higher resolution screen than the original Moto X, 5.2 inch 1080p display up from a 4.7 inch 720p display, a better rear camera, 13 megapixels up from 10 megapixels, and a faster quad core processor.
The new Moto G is more wallet-friendly at just $180, but also saw improvements in quality. It has an enlarged 5-inch display, two front speakers for stereo sound, and a micro SD slot so users can expand its memory.
The Moto 360 is Motorola’s wearable offering, a smartwatch powered by Android Wear. With a circular shape, it looks similar to any classic timepiece, but is packed with high-tech additions like a built-in pedometer and heart rate monitor. The Moto 360 retails for $250.
The Moto Hint is a wireless earbud that—at just six grams—is significantly more discreet than your average Bluetooth headset. When paired with a Moto X, the Hint responds to vocal inquiries or commands. When available, the Moto Hint will cost $150.
The Moto G and Moto 360 were launched Thursday; the Moto X and Moto Hint will be available for purchase beginning at the end of September.
