We are certainly are looking forward to the possibilities that Samsung’s upcoming AI-powered voice assistant Bixby will bring the Tizen ecosystem. This is the Korean tech giant answer to rival systems such as Siri, Alexa and Google Assistant, but we are hoping that it will offer much much more.
A trademark application has now been filed by Samsung with the European Trade Mark and Design Network for a Bixby logo. As you can see from the image below, which is part of application number 016343931, the logo looks like a “B” and also it can glean from the actual application description that this is most likely for Bixby.
The first device for Bixby is expected to be the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus, but soon we should see Smart TV, Smartwatches, IoT, Smart Home, and SmartThings devices to have this technology baked in. Bixby is thought to also come with 8 languages at launch including English, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Korean, Portuguese Latin, Spanish, and Spanish Latin languages. We would also expect to see Hindi and a few other languages to cater for the South Asian countries to be present at launch.
