One of the developer’s that is engaging more with Tizen, and the Tizen community is our very own Lean Anavi. Leon has been involved with the Tizen wiki, porting Tizen to Sunxi devices, and also porting Qt to Tizen. In addition to this he has had the opportunity to talk about Tizen at several conferences including Open mobility, OpenFest and the big one FOSDEM. As we now have a Tizen device in the market place (Samsung Gear 2), he sees wearable devices and the IoT (Internet of Things) a huge focus for Tizen.
He is speaking at the Tizen Developer Conference (#TDCSF14) next month about Allwinner processor-based development boards. Leon sees the upcoming conference as an opportunity to not only learn about Tizen from a developers perspective, but also a great place to meet other developers and hackers, and industry-leading experts. In this presentation you will learn to create budget Tizen devices such as laptops and tablets using open-source hardware components and popular ARM SoC like OLinuXino and Cubieboard.
The process of building Linux kernel, Tizen packages and the creation of bootable Tizen images for ARM devices will be revealed step by step by Leon Anavi. The current state of the open-source and community-driven project Tizen-sunxi for porting Tizen to the Sunxi family of ARM devices will be also discussed.
