The Samsung Z2 was expected to launch in India on the 11th of August along with the Galaxy Note 7, but that turned out to be a hoax and we are now left waiting for an official date for the unveiling the smartphone. There is some good news as our sources confirm that the wait won’t be too long now 😉
Meanwhile after recent leaks of the Z2’s specifications which we had reported, a product video showcasing some of the Z2’s major features has now surfaced online and has given out more details from what we already know about the upcoming Tizen handset. Take a look at the Video below-
The Z2 has 4G LTE connectivity and it has been rumored that Samsung will be bundling the smartphone with Jio preview offer for unlimited internet and voice calls and data for 90 days in India. The processor also gets a major bump from the Z1 and now features a quadcore 1.5 GHz chipset. The Z2 features a 5 MP camera which still isn’t on par with the Mega Pixel race of other competitor offerings in the budget category.
Although there doesn’t seem to be any notable change in the Tizen firmware version in the video, Samsung have made some useful improvements like a slider to vary flashlight intensity when using as a torch, An improved beauty filter mode for the camera, Ultra Data Saving Mode, a new lockscreen interface. The Z2 will also be pre-loading some of the popular apps like Whatsapp and Facebook. There’s also a My Money Transfer app pre-loaded on the smartphone.
