Kalshi introduces tokenized prediction versions through Solana

Kalshi has made the move to introduce tokenized predictions on the public blockchain platform Solana, meaning people can buy and sell these versions.

The company, which is a prediction market, announced that these tokenized versions are now live through an X post which was published on 1 December. Tokenization is when a digital version of a financial asset is created, with this really growing in popularity during the NFT craze of 2021.

The prediction market company has explained why it has decided to go down this route, saying “tokenization is the endgame.” They continued to say “it is non-custodial, instant, and crypto native.”

In a blog post, the young company expanded: “Under the hood of DFlow and Jupiter, a hybrid RFQ system atomically executes trades onchain powered by the deepest prediction market liquidity layer in the world.

“This structure gives builders and traders a fast, transparent, and fully programmable way to interact with real world events.”

Kalshi launches Builder Codes and $2M+ in grants

As well as this announcement, Kalshi Builder Codes have also been launched which allow anyone to “permissionlessly monetize applications built on top of our global liquidity pool.” There are $2M+ in builder grants which are now open, with builders able to earn fees and rewards that scale with volume across applications like pro trading terminals, weather sites and climate dashboards, AI agents, analytics tools, and more.

The head of crypto for Kalshi, John Wang, added to the initial social media post, saying “the ultimate moat for any exchange is liquidity. Kalshi is the only prediction market in the world that aggregates onchain and offchain, US and international into one giant liquidity pool.”

Since the news has been published, Solana have shared a number of Kalshi-related posts and teased that there are more than 80 announcements queued up ahead of its conference in Abu Dhabi next weekend.
