The Samsung guys in India are currently aiding in the development of the Tizen operating system alongside Intel trying to combat the dominance of Android and iOS. Samsung’s vast mobile reach was due to the adoption of the Android operating system , but it seems like Samsung want a little more than Android. According to The Hindu Tizen based smartphones are to be launched Q3 of 2013.
“While I can’t give a lot of details, we do have some people here who are working on the development of this project… As you know, we have a software centre in Noida,” Manu Sharma, Director, Mobile Business, told The Hindu here on Tuesday.
However any specific dates or plans were not stated.
