In Avowed, character progression is an essential part of shaping your playstyle, allowing you to invest in Attributes and Abilities to create the perfect build.
However, as you progress, you may find that some choices aren’t working out, or you simply want to try something new.
Just like other RPGs, a respec option has been included but it comes at a cost.
Here’s everything you need to know about how to respec in Avowed and how much it costs, so you can make an informed decision.
Avowed respec: What you need to know
To respec your character, you don’t need to visit a specific NPC and instead, all you have to do is navigate to the correct menus in the game.
If you’re looking to reset your Attribute points, you’ll need to make your way to the Character menu and in the bottom left, should be the prompt to Reset Points.
This is the same for Ability Points but you have to move over to the Abilities screen for this.
Once you’re on the appropriate screen, you’ll see the aforementioned prompt along with how much it will cost you to confirm it.
One of the biggest advantages of Avowed’s respec system is that you don’t need to view a specific Skill Tree to reset your points. Instead, the game allows you to reset all your points at once, making it a straightforward process.
Avowed respec cost explained
While resetting your Attribute and Ability Points is easy, it’s not always free. Every time you choose to respec, you’ll need to spend the coin to do so, and the cost increases as you progress through the game.
In the very early game where you have little Abilities unlocked, Ability Points can be reset for free, while Attribute Points require a very small amount of currency.
As you begin to level up and pump more points into both systems, the cost will jump up significantly, making the choice to do so much harder.
By the time you reach close to max level, respeccing can cost between 2,000 and 3,000, a major investment that you may need to mull over.
It’s also worth noting that the cost for resetting Attribute Points is always higher than resetting Ability Points. This means that experimenting too much with Attributes can drain your funds quickly.
