How to fix Satisfactory Encryption token missing error

After years of being in early access, Satisfactory has finally been released in a fully-fledged 1.0 state.

While this is a much more polished experience to that of the first iterations of the game, there are still bugs and issues that players are facing.

One particular issue is the Satisfactory Encryption token missing error which many are encountering.

Here, we’ll run you through what this error is as well as how to fix it so you can move on with no additional problems in this area.

What is the Satisfactory Encryption token missing error?

If you’re looking to play Satisfactory with your friends, it’s likely that you’ve made it here because the server you’re creating isn’t functioning as it should and those looking to join are receiving the Encryption token missing or No encryption token errors.

These relate to how your server is configured and you must get those changed in order to make the joining process as seamless as possible.

We’ll talk about what you’ll need to do in the below fixes.

How to fix the Satisfactory Encryption token missing error

The first, and quick method you can use to overcome the Satisfactory Encryption token missing error is to join the server in a different way.

By this we mean not using the ‘Join Game’ button and instead, attempt to get in via the Server Manager.

This option can be found on the home screen above credits.

If this hasn’t solved the issue, the problem is likely down to the server itself.

What the server owner needs to do is alter the forwarding port to a specific set of numbers – 7777 – and this should make the problems disappear.

If you’ve tried both of the above and are still having issues, maybe suggest another player attempts to host the server just to ensure there’s no other conflicts happening.
