How to examine the Floating Thought and solve the puzzle in Throne and Liberty

Examining the Floating Thought task in Throne and Liberty is proving a tricky little pest for a lot of the game’s players. So if you have found yourself wandering around at a loss at how to tick off this little task, read on. It’s relatively simple once you know what you are doing so let’s have a look.

How to Examine the Floating Thought

Once you reach the Pledge Loop Adventure Quest which you will hit when you get to Chapter 5 you will find yourself digging into the murky depths of Ezekiel’s Past.

During this little loop, one of the tasks you will be given is to Examine the Floating Thought, but it is certainly not obvious what the game means for you to do.

Activate the first Memory Sign

There is a Memory Sign in the middle of the chamber that requires activation. Once you have done that a set of stairs to your south will appear. Head up them and head to the hallway on your right.

Activate the second Memory Sign

At the end of the hallway, you will appear to be at a dead end. There is however a Memory Sign here that you can activate so do that. Now use your Grappling Hook and zip up to the top of the transparent red pillar ahead of you.

Spread your wings

Make the jump to the next pillar and then jump again and fly towards the red gate ahead of you. This was locked previously but now you should be able to enter the hallway. Follow it around to the next dead end and activate the Memory Sign once more.

Climb the tallest pillar

When you activate the Memory Sign the gate ahead of you will open. You now need to use your grappling hook once more, this time to get to the top of the tall pillar that has the Pledge Artifact atop it. Examine this and the whole thing will bring you back down to the ground and you can solve the Floating Thought puzzle once and for all.

A cinematic battle in Throne and Liberty.
