How to fish in Throne And Liberty, explained

There are a bunch of activities you can get into within Throne And Liberty but a lot of players are struggling to get one specific one going – fishing.

Usually fishing in games is a pretty simplistic affair but in Throne And Liberty, there have been tweaks on the formula making it more difficult.

Here, we’ll teach you exactly how to fish in the game so you can catch as much as you like, whether that’s for quests or to simply fill your pockets.

How to catch fish in Throne And Liberty

To get started in the fish catching process, you’ll need two things – a rod and bait. You will get these from a quest so no need to worry about finding or purchasing them.

Now, locate a body of water where fishing is possible and equip both the rod and bait, then cast your line into the water using the prompt for which platform you’re playing on.

When you get a fish on the hook and begin reeling it in, you want to keep your attention on keeping the fish as central as possible otherwise your line will break, losing the fish.

You will need to keep any eye on your stamina bar but when it depletes, it will instantly regenerate when you give it a moment to refill.

Keep close attention to the lure color when the fish is trying to escape. The key here is to keep it green because when it turns red, this means it’ll likely escape and snap the line.

As previously mentioned, keep it as central as possible, make sure you have the stamina, and you should be able to deplete the fish’s ‘health’, making it yours.

One caveat here is that sometimes you do hook a fish that is actually too high level to actually successfully catch. So, don’t get too discouraged if you’re struggling, it may just be that you’re hooking a level 3 fish when you’re only level 1 for example.

That’s all there is to it! If this guide made things a little easier, take a look at some of our other Throne And Liberty articles on in-game currencies, Twitch Drops, how to get to the Amitoi House, and more.
