You can be one of the first to hold the Nintendo Switch 2 if you’re free in April

After seemingly an age, the Nintendo Switch 2 has been officially revealed to the world, even if it is in fancy 3D render format.

This initial teaser has tickled the tastebuds but there’s so much more that needs to be unveiled including raw specs of the internal components, a games line-up, and what might be most important — price.

All of this will likely be announced in the Nintendo Switch Direct on April 2, but what if we told you there’s a chance you can get physical hands on the system in that same month?

Get the Nintendo Switch 2 console in your hands before the general public

If you have some spare time in April, and are located in key cities such as New York and Los Angeles in the US, Madrid and Paris in Europe, or London in the UK, you’ve got the chance to be one of the first to hold the Switch 2.

In an announcement after the initial teaser video, Nintendo had a follow-up reveal that there will be Nintendo Switch 2 Experience events scattered in various locations that you can secure entry to, and get hands-on with the new console.

Unfortunately, it will be down to luck as to if you’ll get access though since it is a registration and ticket system that picks a select number of fans at random to attend.

All you need to do to get yourself in the pool is to have a free Nintendo account and sign up via the respective links for your region.

Follow this link if you’re in the US and this link if you’re in the EU/UK, where you’ll be able to see the full details of all the events and how to sign up.

Registration opens on Jan. 17 at 12:00 PT / 14:00 CT / 15:00 ET for US citizens, with the EU/UK variant opening January 17th at 14:00 (UK time).

One caveat to the EU/UK events is that you’ll only be able to register for one location to avoid those getting tickets to them all and getting a quick flight to access the experience over and over.

All that we can say is get your fingers warmed up for the above dates and times and may luck be on your side!
