Google’s Pixelbook is arguably the best Chromebook one can buy in the current market. Beautiful hardware, matched by Chrome OS‘ simplicity and security, makes it a top-top gadget. However, the price tag of $1000 is a hard mental barrier for many to break. Some people may also think they shouldn’t pay Macbook Pro pricing for a Chrome OS device. Well, Google has decided to help their cause. For a limited time, the web giant is selling the device for just $749, with a whopping $250 off. I can’t recall such a big discount on this device, which effectively means this is the lowest price it has ever seen.
Google Pixelbook: The emperor of Chrome
The Google Pixelbook features a 12.3-inch 235ppi LCD touchscreen display in 3:2 aspect ratio, with 2400 x 1600 resolution. It is powered by Intel Core i5 processor, coupled with 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage. The aluminium unibody chassis has a 360-degree hinge, and comes in silver colour. There are two USB-C ports for charging and 4K display support. Google claims of up to 10 hours of battery life on the device, and fast-charging support, with up to 2 hours of use in just 15 mins. All this, along with a 720p webcam makes it a fantastic device to buy at $750.
But if you want to take things a little up, the $250 promotional discount also applies to the higher SKUs as well. The $1199 priced Pixelbook model, with 256GB storage, is now on sale at $949. Also the price of the most powerful one, featuring Core i7 processor, 16GB RAM and 512GB storage, drops down to $1399 (originally priced at $1649). All of these prices include FREE shipping.
With all this said, I still think paying $1400 for a Chromebook would be pretty silly. But at $750, it suddenly becomes a lot more tempting buy. It’s light-weight, portable, has access to Android apps, can turn into a tablet, and does everything you need to do on a laptop. In simple words, it’s the best Chromebook. And you shouldn’t miss out on the best price the best Chromebook has ever seen.
