Last month, Best Buy accidentally revealed a release date for the Google Pixel Slate. Though there was no confirmation on if the date was official, Best Buy was quick to remove the date. But it seems like the retailer was right. The Google Pixel Slate is indeed releasing on 22 November.
Google Pixel Slate release date
The Google Pixel Slate was announced at the “Made By Google” event in New York last month, alongside the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL smartphones and the Google Home Hub. It is the first Chrome OS tablet by Google, and comes with a detachable keyboard (sold separately). While the rest of the devices announced at the event have already hit the markets, Pixel Slate needed some time, probably because some hardware and software optimizations were still be in progress. Google, however, now seems to be almost ready with the device, and has listed it for pre-orders at Google Store.
Best Buy, meanwhile, had already spilled the beans by revealing a release date last month, before replacing it with “Not Yet Announced”. The retailer has now updated the Google Pixel Slate landing page on its website, once again with a release date of 11/22/2018. You can pre-order it today and get it delivered to your address by the end of this month. The device can be pre-ordered through Amazon as well.
