Google and Samsung duel again, but this time it’s over smartwatches?

Google and Samsung appear to be two companies who have a twisted love hate relationship. Apparently Google CEO Larry Page is not too happy that Samsung are pursuing their own Tizen based Smart watches, instead of going all in with Android wear.
Both companies have reportedly had a “tense private meeting”, between Google’s Larry Page and Samsung’s Vice Chairman Jay Y. Google didn’t appreciate the amount of investment Samsung are directing towards Tizen, when compared to development of Android based Smart Watches. Samsung has mentioned quite a few times that it has a commitment to Tizen as an OS that will on lots of different devices, like the Samsung NX30 Smart Camera, Tizen TV, Washing Machines and even fridges.
For us at Tizen Experts, Android Wear seems like a easy to use OS, but has limitations as to what the OS can do, and will not be as versatile as a true Linux based OS, like what Tizen can in the very near future. There is also the potential for more smart watch manufacturers to use Tizen for their own development. Yep, we are sticking to Tizen 😉
