Get rich as a winner of the Samsung Gear App Challenge

OK, it won’t land you in Zuckerberg or Gates territory but developing a winning app brings some nice cash to a bank very near to you. Apart from prizes, ranging between some $30 of USD $10.000 each as well as 10 times $50K and a one of off $100.000 USD, it will also bring you customers that will pay for your app as well! And most of the time: Money is in the numbers!
The second round of the Samsung Challenge proves that it’s important to participate in a contest. Apart from exposure and maybe a prize, it will help you create what might become the ultimate app!
The challenge ain’t over yet! In the second part of the  Samsung Gear App Challenge, after the developer successfully passed the first round of the Samsung Gear app challenge, the finalist will be invited again to compete for round 2. This brings the bigger prizes, like $100,000 for the winner and 9 developers can go home with $50K. Afraid you’re number 11 on the ranking list? In that case you could get home with $10.000 USD (as well as 29 others that just missed the $50K!)
There’s also a price  for the popular choice award: A very nice vehicle, retailing 50.000 USD as well.
Last, but certainly not least, Samsung staff will help the winners by improving their chances of sales success in the form of assisting on marketing and commotion.
I understand you’re eager to submit your improved app but as always: There are rules to live by! And, in Dutch we call this an “ezelsbruggetje” (asses bridge!) there is the 4 step to judge yourself. Or rather, have somebody else look at it, who has no emotional ties to your coding-baby!

  • Designed in a clean and multi platform way
  • Unique
  • Commercial: a lot of people want to pay for it or advertisers will see it as the grail
  • Functionally it works the way people expect it to work

Grand prize, Second prize, and Popular Choice award winners will be announced at the Samsung Developers Conference mid-November, 2014.
