It has been know for a while now that Samsung is working on an iPhone iOS version of their Gear Manager app, which is used to connect with the Smartwatch for configuration and notifications etc. The company also confirmed this themselves at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2016 that iOS support was coming in 2016 for the Gear S2.
Now it is reported that the Gear S2 will receive a software update near the end of March 2016, only a matter of weeks away, and this will also coincide with the release of the Gear Manager for the iPhone iOS app. There are many potential S2 users that have not purchased the device yet because of iOS.compatibility.
