The Galaxy Watch Active2 is getting a new update. These are one of those updates that bring new and improved features from the latest device to the older ones. In this case, some features are coming to the Galaxy Watch Active2 from the Galaxy Watch 3.
Samsung has already ported over some of the Galaxy Watch 3 features. For example, the new running coach, VO2 measurements, fall detection, and running analysis.
The Latest Update
The firmware version R820XXU1CTJ5 is being rolled out. This update has started in South Korea and will move around the world. The update has a relatively small size of 60MB. Now, you are able to use voice guidance while you’re exercising through a paired headset.
While you’re exercising, the watch will offer helpful tips. As well as this, voice guidance has also been added for the accumulated distance and heart rate when recording running or biking exercise automatically.
The UI has also changed a slight bit too. On the watch face, the second hand will no longer be displayed when Always on Display is turned on. As well as that, there have been minor changes for stability – always good to have.
If you haven’t received the update, you may want to manually search for it. Or wait a couple of days.
