The Galaxy Fit is the latest fitness tracker from Samsung and it hasn’t been long since it’s been out. In February this year, It made its way onto the world stage alongside the launch of the Galaxy S10. As with all new devices, its time for it to for the Galaxy Fit to receive its very first software update.
The firmware update is being rolled out by the usual OTA (over the air) update mechanism from Samsung’s servers. The first country on the list to receive the fix is France. This is only a small update, weighing in at 20.72MB. There are no new reported features to boast of, just performance improvements and bug fixes.
Galaxy Fit first software/firmware update
The software/firmware version is R370XXU0ASG1. According to the changelog, the update brings stability improvements and tweaks the battery charging algorithm. This has been the case of updates to several of Samsung’s other wearable devices. Users will also see a change in the heart rate widget – a new button that allows you to get a new reading.
This is a lovely looking wearable device that features a 0.95-inch full-colour AMOLED display and a 120mAh battery. Under the hood we do not have Tizen, the OS used on the Galaxy Watch etc, but Samsung’s Realtime OS. It does, however, share their 5 ATM water resistance rating.
