Today EMCannounced its acquisition of scale-out NAS vendor Isilon Systems for $2.25 billion. According to EMC’s announcement, the company will now be able to offer its customers a “complete storage infrastructure solution for managing ‘Big Data’ in private or public cloud environments.” Storage companies are hot acquisition targets right now.
