Buy a Samsung Gear S3 from Verizon and get $200 off the Galaxy Note 8 and S8/S8+

What can be considered as an early Christmas gift, Verizon has this wonderful offer if you’re looking to get yourself a smartwatch this festive season. You get $200 off a flagship Apple or Samsung smartphone when you buy a Gear S3 or Apple Watch Series 3 from Verizon. Furthermore, you also get a $50 Google Play Store credit or iTunes gift card with the purchase. However, the offer is as straight as you read. There’s a lot of buy-ins involved, which you’d get to know below.
For a limited time, if you buy a Samsung Gear S3 from Verizon, you get $200 off a Galaxy S8, S8+, Note 8 or the Moto Z2 Force Edition. The discount will be in the form of an instant $200 promo credit if you buy the Gear S3 on a two-year contract or at the full retail price. However, if you choose to get the smartwatch with a device payment purchase, your $200 promo credit will be applied over 24 months as bill incentive credits. In addition, you’ll also receive a $50 Google Play Store credit, within 5 weeks of activation.

The same offer is applicable to the Apple Watch Series 3 Cellular as well. Here, you get $200 off an iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus or iPhone X and a $50 iTunes gift card. Please note that a minimum purchase of $960 should be made to avail the offer. Furthermore, the purchase and activation of the smartwatches should be made on the same transaction.
A similar buy-one-get-one (BOGO) offer is available for the purchase of smartphones as well. If you buy one Apple or Samsung smartphone, you can get a second one free, well technically. The catch here is that both phones must be purchased on-device payment, and you’ll need to activate a new line of Verizon Unlimited service. Additionally, the second phone that you buy must be from the same manufacturer as the first, meaning you can’t get one Apple device and one Samsung. Meet all these requirements and Verizon will give you bill credits to cover the cost of the second device.
So as you see, the offer is not as straightforward as you’d want to be. But, if you want to take advantage of these confusing, but significant discounts, then time is running out. Is it worth the hassle? You decide.
