Apple Watch Series 4 up for pre-order in India: Price, availability and specs

The Apple Watch Series 4 is now all set to make its debut in India. The next-generation Apple Watch will go on sale in India on October 19, at a starting price of Rs. 40,900. You can also pre-order the watch through authorized Apple resellers now and get it shipped to your address on October 19.
The Apple Watch Series 4 was launched alongside the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR last month.
 

Apple Watch Series 4 in India: Price, availability and specs

The latest Apple Watch comes in two all-new sizes – 40mm and 44mm – up from 38mm and 42mm sizes of the previous generation Apple Watch. Choices are also available with case material, as you can purchase the watch either in aluminium or stainless steel, or both, of course. Apple has also made both cellular and GPS-only variants of the watch available in India. As far as the colour options are concerned, the aluminium-cased watch comes in Silver, Space Grey, and Gold, while the stainless steel variant has a choice between Space Black and Gold colour options.
 

 
Prices start at Rs. 40,900 for the 40mm GPS model with aluminium casing. The price goes up to Rs. 43,900 if you buy the 44mm model of the same variant. The cellular edition Apple Watch in aluminium case is priced at Rs. 49,900 and Rs. 52,900 for the 40mm and 44mm models respectively.
The Apple Watch 4 for with stainless steel chassis starts at Rs. 67,900 (with sports band) for the 40mm cellular model. The same watch with a Milanese Loop wristband will, however, cost you Rs. 76,900. The bigger sized stainless steel variant of the Apple Watch is priced at Rs. 71,900 (sports band), and Rs. 80,900 (Milanese Loop band).
 

 
As for specs, the Apple Watch 4 is powered by a next-gen S4 chip with a custom 64-bit dual-core processor and a new GPU. It sports a 324 x 394 pixels (40mm) or 368 x 448 pixels (44mm) OLED Retina display and comes with 16GB of internal storage space. It packs basic sensors such as accelerometer and gyroscope and has a battery capable of running the device for up to 18 hours on a single charge.

Apple made headlines by introducing an electrocardiogram (ECG) sensor in the Apple Watch 4. However, the feature will be exclusive for users in the US only whenever it’s available. No luck for us Indians yet.
 

Where to buy?

The Apple Watch Series 4 will be officially available in your nearest Apple Store on October 19. You can also pre-order it today through Flipkart, IndiaiStore, and any other authorized Apple resellers. The watch will also be available to buy from Paytm Mall starting October 18. Apple India will begin shipping the device on October 19.
